Welcome to Mannheim Port

"The Staatliche Rhein-Neckar-Hafengesellschaft Mannheim mbH – or HGM for short - is a young company having been established in 1990 from the state-owned Mannheim port authority. Nevertheless, the efforts and experiences of generations are to be seen; generations, which have worked in the harbour, lived from it and successfully extended it. With the knowledge and resources of our time, we are endeavouring to do justice to it and thus prepare the basis for a thriving future. A national economy based more and more on the division of labour, both nationally and internationally, is dependent on effective and reliable logistics services. HGM meets these increased demands by means of a comprehensive investment programme and an increased expansion of its activities. It is a driving force in the growth area of logistics as well as in the framework of an integrated transport concept. As a logistics nodal point, our company is of great significance when it comes to changing the "modal split” in the direction of rail and waterways.

With our target- and need-oriented area policy, in which we can combine waterways, railways and road, we provide the infrastructure which allows the resident companies and future new residents to be successful. Our work as a competent partner is to be part of our customers’ logistics networks."
